Tecate Score San Felipe 250 2013

With almost half of the course on terrain that either has never been used or not used for many years, the new era of SCORE International officially begins Friday with the start of pre-running in preparation for March’s season-opening 27th annual MasterCraft Safety Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 desert race.
The spectacular 254-mile race course runs in a counter-clockwise direction and starts and finishes at the landmark San Felipe arches.
The race course goes north of Highway 3 for one of the first times ever in this race, covering over 100 miles up to the south end of Laguna Salada and back. Tecate Score San Felipe 250 2013 -

Tecate Score San Felipe 250 2012 prerunning & fuel advisory

All race teams are strongly advised to prerun and race using the official course gps file. The entire race course will be open for prerunning from Saturday, February 25 through Friday, March 9.
Mexican liability insurance and governmental permits are in effect for prerunning only during the above stated dates.
Prerunning is not racing!!! prerunning is the opportunity to preview the race course while at the same time exercising a high degree of caution and proceeding at a safe, reasonable and controlled speed.
Be advised that all roads on the race course are open to local traffic during prerunning. unsafe prerunning is not only dangerous, but also disrespectful to the local citizens.
Prerunning in an unsafe manner may subject the driver to legal jeopardy with the mexican police. it may also subject the team to a race penalty.

Top 12 Trophy-Truck and Class 1 from Baja 1000 in special draw

Top 12 in SCORE Trophy-Truck and Class 1 from 2010 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 in special draw. Many top desert racers are expected to be entered for the computerized start draw on Feb. 12 for next month’s 25th Anniversary of the MasterCraft Safety Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 desert race. With the drawing being held at the SCORE International headquarters in Los Angeles, the race itself will be held 10.-13. March 2011 along the azure waters of the Sea of Cortez in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico.

With entries accepted up to race morning, over 275 entries from over 20 US States and 10 countries expected to enter as competition will be held in 28 Pro and 6 Sportsman classes in the popular race. The green flag

March 11.-13. 2011-25th MasterCraft Safety Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico - The Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 is an off-road race that takes place on Mexico's Baja California Peninsula in late February or early March. It is by same folks also called Baja 250. The San Felipe 250 is part of a series of races that include the Baja 1000, Baja 500 and Primm 300. The event includes various types of vehicle classes such as different bore motorcycles, ATV / Quads, stock VW (Class 11), production vehicles, buggies, trucks, and custom fabricated race vehicles with the prime offroad classes as the unlimited open-wheel Class 1 buggies and the famous, unlimited Trophy Truck class. The course has remained relatively the same over the years with the majority of events being a loop race starting and finishing in San Felipe, Baja California.

Overall winners at the San Felipe 250 / Baja 250 Off-Road Desert race during it's existence. Noticeable the Class 1 overall victories in 2010 by Armin Schwarz and Martin Christensen in the AGM Jimco BMW powered buggy, in 2005 by Andy McMillin, Scott McMillin and 1998 by Mark Post and Jerry Whelchel. A course Class 1 has a chance to win against the mighty Trophy Trucks.
